Established in 1994, Te Awhi provides kaupapa Māori support specialising in Mental Health and Addiction services in the Waikato (Hamilton) and Te Tai Tokerau (Whangārei) regions.
We aim for innovative interventions that empower Tū Whānau and their whānau in new ways, to live ordinary lives in communities of their choice, as whānau are their own greatest resource, they just need belief.
Awhi Whānau provides accommodation services for recovery and respite (Whangārei Only).
Awhi Atu provides support to those ready to move into their own living situation.
Awhi Ora provides programmes and activities that support health and wellbeing.
Supporting whānau with Tamariki who have behavioural issues or emerging mental health challenges.
